6 p.m., Keynote – Nationally Recognized Aquatic Conservation Biologist & Author John Waldman, Professor at Queens College, New York

Moderated Panel: Following the keynote, Friends of the Presumpscot River board members and Dr. Lisa Kerr, a marine fisheries ecology research scientist at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, will demonstrate how the broader ecological issues raised by Professor Waldman are relevant to Southern Maine. The group will also discuss how ongoing work to restore migratory fish to the Presumpscot River—the largest freshwater source flowing into Casco Bay—is connected to the health of ocean fisheries in the Gulf of Maine. Q&A with Professor Waldman and Panel Members will follow the discussion
